Every computer in the school has Internet connectivity through a broadband DSL connection. Further, the School has a well stocked Library with more than 20,000 books.

The school not only aims at the academic growth of its students but also strives to achieve excellence in other aspects of their personality. Emphasis is laid on imparting moral values and providing the right environment for the all-round development of their personality and self-esteem.

Inculcation of values as well as innovative and progressive methods in the teaching-learning process have helped the school establish a reputation for excellence and carve out a niche for itself among the leading schools-in-Delhi.

At Ramjas School, we are passionate about the importance of providing each student with a complete sense of belonging, of optimism and success, of being unique and of being heard. Our greatest responsibility is to assist our students in building personal values, spirit, knowledge and vision.

Activities [top]

Activities are an integral part of the curriculum, and the goal is to allow the students to explore and discover skills and talent apart from academic knowledge. Competitions and activities range from Book Week, Science Week, debates to quizzes, theatre, and the fine arts. The aim of such activities is to contribute towards the holistic development of the students.

Cafeteria [top]

The school cafeteria has a fully equipped modern kitchen and pantry to serve hygienic and nutritious food under strict supervision.

Community service by the students, such as taking care of senior citizens, teaching the unlettered, and participating in environment awareness programmes is part of the school curriculum.

Counselling is available to the students and their parents through a qualified counsellor. The students can discuss their problems and seek guidance for issues as wide ranging as peer pressure to how to choose a career.

Class Rooms [top]

Large, airy classrooms provide the right ambience for the learning experience at school.

Excursions and Outings [top]

Excursions and outings are part of the teaching-learning process. All classes go on field trips, every month. Age-subject-appropriate trips are meticulously planned by the staff. Excursions are planned over long weekends. Senior students even visit villages to savour and understand the real India. Using interactive methodologies, we try to sensitise the youth to social issues and develop a sense of social responsibility among them through our annual trekking and social service camps.

Faculty [top]

A motivated and dedicated faculty oversees the well being of our students. A good teacher-student ratio (1:20) makes it possible for the faculty to monitor the progress of every child.

Information Technology [top]

The school has two fully operational computer labs. Each lab houses 20 to 25 computers, scanners, printers, and CD/DVD writers. Every computer in the school has a broadband Internet connection. Both the students and the teachers are encouraged to use computers and the Internet as enabling tools rather than just another subject to be learned.

Resource Centre [top]

The school has two independent resource centres for the teachers and students. These are fully equipped with multimedia toolkits and Internet connectivity. They also stock educational CDs and maintain lists of links to important educational websites. The teachers and students are free to use these resource centres at any time as part of the teaching learning process.

Besides these, dramatics and the theatre are also an integral part of the curriculum. The school holds theatre workshop and stages a play every year.

House System [top]

To help the students imbibe the spirit of healthy competition, there are eight houses: Chaitanya, Bharti, Sanghamitra, Gautam, Sarojini, Manu, Maitreyi and Gargi. A number of inter-house competitions provide the students an opportunity to discover their talents in diverse fields.

Language Lab [top]

The high point of this year for the school infrastructure is the installation of the Smart Class Virtual Recorder. In simple terms, the school now has a language laboratory of its own. Technology has now made language learning easier and much more interesting. Started on a modest scale, to accommodate sixteen students, the lab is more like a multifunctional classroom. It accommodates language learning, multi-media presentations and self-study sessions. Students can hear and re-produce accurate intonation in any language; they can practise on their own or with a teacher's help. On the part of the teacher, she can interact with all, a group or even one student at a time. She can monitor and supervise children on a one-to-one basis - correcting someone if need be without distracting others. Similarly a student can seek help without apprehensions of others listening or laughing. Students of Classes VI and VII are being taken to the lab regularly. They enjoy the sessions in the lab and eagerly look forward to them. They listen to poems and recite them and sometimes also work on online worksheets or practise language exercises given by the teacher.

Mathematics Lab [top]

The Maths Lab has finally been created. The primary objective is to enrich teaching of mathematics. Maths will no longer be terrifying. Rather it would be enjoyable to learn, for the lab will help the student to "learn by discovering" and work on projects and activities that highlight the relevance of Maths in the real world. The dreaded Maths will soon become fun filled Maths through the use of technology in the form of advanced software and hands-on activities, such as making models etc.

Robotics [top]

Robotics began very quietly and without any fanfare this year.  To begin with, about forty students have enrolled for the Robotics classes. In these classes, students are taught elements of basic electronics, computer science and mechanical engineering.  Then they got started from scratch in fabricating robots.
