Ramjas School, Pusa Road organised a 'Tie and Dye' activity for the students of class VIII from 23rd to 25th August 2023 to give them hands-on experience of the textile art form that uses various colours as a way to create unique designs on fabric.

The activity was undertaken as an extension of Class VIII Geography chapter 'Industries- Comparative Studies''.

The process of tie and dye which consists of folding, twisting, pleating or crumpling fabric before binding with string or rubber bands, followed by the application of dyes also known as 'bandhej' or 'bandhani' was explained in detail to the students.

To impart this practical knowledge, the department of Social Science conducted the workshop in collaboration with the Art department.
